Where I’m coming from

I was raised in Hawaiʻi, where interconnection isn’t a metaphor. It’s daily life. People, place, and responsibility braid together.

That lens still guides me: nothing exists in isolation, and good design is often about making relationships visible.

How I work

I bring curiosity and empathy to untangle complexity. The work is rarely “make it pretty.” It’s making dense systems legible when the stakes are real.

Discovery

Find the real moments of hesitation, risk, and “what happens next?”

Systems design

Information architecture, workflows, states, and predictable behavior.

Validation

Prototype, test, iterate. Reduce cognitive load. Increase trust.

What I tend to build

Healthcare SaaS and enterprise workflows where accuracy and accountability matter.

Accessibility improvements that make systems more usable for everyone, not just the “average” user.

Shared language and patterns that keep AI-enabled products calm and respectful in fragile moments.

What I stand for

I advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in tech because systems reflect values, whether we mean them to or not.

At symplr, I led the LGBTQ ERG and co-founded PRISM to push beyond performative inclusion and into structural change.

Let’s build something meaningful.

If you’re building systems where clarity, trust, and accountability matter, I’d love to talk.
